Camel Estuary
Pencil and watercolour nfs
I'm a regular visitor to the Camel Estuary in Cornwall, so it is no surprise that I paint a few "landscapes" (especially when all the birds have disappeared). This is a typical view — just a sketch — but there's the river and mud, and the strip of farmland, and Bodmin Moor away in the distance. A peregrine has put up all the waders, and the golden plover are putting on a fine aerial display. It is not wilderness, but with the calls and movement of the waders it nonetheless conjures a sense of the wild.
